So the license got lost and two versions of this game exist, but they are the same thing. Not really sure what Pete Rose added to it, anyway. It's kind of hilarious because if you look at the ball on the title screen, they just deleted Pete Rose's name. They didn't even recenter the word!

The behind the pitcher thing works. It actually works well...ish. If you're pitching, at least. Batting is OK, but it's a bit trickier. Fielding is AWFUL, though. I rarely use caps, but it's that bad. You have to manually select who you are going to field with. As best I can tell, you have to push a direct on the screen for where the guy you want to use it. If the ball is going up the screen but you want the lowest guy on the screen, you have to unintuitively move down, right, or left...not up.

What's very sad is that this is way, way, waaay too close to the 2600 version. I know, same year, but vastly different specs and this really could have shown off some more upgrades. Not that Atari was ever good at doing that. I'm so glad Atari never got the NES.
