A cut of 85 paise per litre was announced last evening which came into effect from midnight. The cut in petrol price is a result of fall in international oil prices. After including VAT, the total reduction in Delhi will be Rs 1.02 per litre and the fuel will now cost Rs 67.29 per litre. Petrol in Mumbai will cost Rs 1.07 less at Rs 74.14 per litre. In Kolkata, it will cost Rs 74.72 per litre while, it will cost Rs 70.34 a litre in Chennai. The price of non-subsidised cooking gas (LPG) has been reduced by Rs 3 per cylinder in line with fall in international rates.
