PewDiePie Apologizes For N-Word Drop While Live Streaming PUBG (REACTION + FULL VIDEO)
177Highly famous YouTuber PewDiePie has released a video apology on his channel as a response to his livestream of the game Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) where he dropped a racial slur. During a match of the game in the “heat of the moment” he dropped the n-word against his opponent. In the original video, he instantly showed regret and said he was sorry. Much of the internet has been divided about this issue. Some say that PewDiePie is a well known racist and that this latest incident is no surprise. Others say that this incident was no big deal when compared to everything else that’s said on the internet especially while gaming.
A developer of the game “Firewatch” of which PewDiePie has video of on his channel threatened to file DMCA against him to have the videos in question removed. That would be a total stretch an da reach because DMCA is a copyright law and shouldn’t have anything to do with mean things that people say in general. This is just one example of the extreme nature of both “sides” of the argument. Some say that anyone should be able to say anything and no one should be offended and others say that your language should be policed to the point where you have to walk on eggshells.
At the end of the day, this incident will be blown out of proportion due to PewDiePie’s status as the biggest YouTuber on the platform. The question is… should it be?
