Phantasy Star II had the potential to be a fantastic extension of everything that made the first game for the Master System great, but instead it fell short and has landed square at the back of my favourite games list. With confusing dungeons, a plot that reduces to a trickle halfway through and characters that are as stiff as wood, there's not much here that I enjoyed. 🍖
