Phantasy Star 4: The End of the Milennium - Back to Memory Lane (Tribute to Rieko Kodama)
Over a decade has past since I managed to complete Phantasy Star IV so why not try again for the second time. Will my experience provide a smooth adventure or will my mishaps slow the journey down? This video will find out.
Out of the Phantasy Star games I've played, this one is arguably my favorite one of the four original games, which is interesting since the one before takes place after this one (I haven't played the original Phantasy Star so I can't really decide for sure which is my actual fave. 4 was because I grew up playing with the game, along with 2 and 3).
To sum up this video: In a span of an hour, we went from getting rid of the monsters in the academy basement to discovering that Professor Holt was turned to stone by Zio to finding Rune Walsh admist the ashes of Molcum to arriving at Tonoe, where we meet Gryz, who guides us to find Alshline. What the hell just happened....? God, that went by so fast.
I might consider on doing a gameplay walkthrough of Phantasy Star 4, but it depends on how you feel about what I've shown today. So, thanks for watching and I'll see you guys later.
Note: This video just shows how rusty I am at playing Phantasy Star 4. Since it was over a decade, it's clear that I'm trying to remember what I've did before when I played this the first time.
2nd Note: I just discovered that Rieko Kodama, the producer in charge of this wonderful instalment, actually died over a year ago on May 2022 so this video is to pay tribute to the woman that directed one of the greatest RPG's of the 90s. Rest in Peace: Rieko Kodama (I'm such an idiot for not realizing it sooner).
3rd Note: Those fucking Sand Newts. I hate them. I really do.
