Of the many issues that the video game industry has failed to address, one of its most egregious has been its approach to video game preservation. Between the lack of re-releases during this console generation and the lack of backwards compatibility on the majority of consoles, among other problems, the future is not looking very bright for the preservation movement. To illustrate the dire nature of this dilemma, we'll spend this anniversary taking a look at three games with varying accessibility on more recent video game consoles, the first of which being the SEGA Master System Classic, Phantasy Star.
