In Story Mode, the player assumes the role of Ethan Waber, a young man enlisted in an interplanetary security force known as the GUARDIANS. With the help of numerous partners, he fights to uncover the mystery of the SEED, stands up against conspiracy, and grows up along the way as an epic story unfolds.
What is it that you fight to protect?
If you are wondering what are my thoughts on this game then check out my review here:
Phantasy Star Universe is a game that has an identity issue. The game don't know rather it wants to be a normal RPG or a MMORPG. It has a single player story mode where you play as Ethan Waber but through out the game their are hints of what you can only do one the online mode. The end of the game they blatantly tell you to play the online mode. So you would think the online mode would be the main selling point but no it's not. The online mode is very barebones. The only thing you can do is replay the free missions from single player but with a created character. It's really a pity as this game has some potential if they only went with making it a full single player game as the universe is interesting. As it is I can't recommend this game.
