Phasmophobia | Gotta Perish Fast
0OK, Phas folks, I'm going to level with you up front: tonight was not our finest night when it came to hunting down ghosts. "Gotta Go Fast" was one of our worst challenge maps ever back when challenge mode first dropped, and it ended up being even harder with only Tier 1 items! We gave up early and spent the rest of the session struggling to make headway on unlocking more items. We're still having trouble with a lot of the sound and lighting changes since the Ascension update landed, plus the process of learning how each new item and item tier works.
Given that we only play once a week for a couple of hours, and given how extensive these changes are, and how many unexpected bugs and changes got introduced with the patch, it's not all that surprising if you ask me... but it is pretty demoralizing, and I think you'll hear that a lot more than usual in this session. I was also trying my best to stream through a killer headache and an unfamiliar keyboard since I've been gone so much lately and didn't want to cancel another stream. Neither added to my enjoyment or skill level in any way.
If this is your first time watching us, I will gently recommend that you try another VOD in our Phasmophobia playlist first! Sometimes bad nights happen, and I'm not the sort to edit or clip those out just because they're a little painful to watch. I much prefer getting to goof around and have fun together, and I think we can still do that in future weeks. For now though, you'll have to bear with a little frustration and dysfunction like the rest of us. Phas is basically a brand new game at this point, so there's nothing to do but keep building back the mastery we've lost.
