Video Description:
In this video, I test out a new animation/widget I created for a red light/green light challenge!
It is essentially a traffic light that gives audio cues everytime it toggles between green ("Green Light"), Yellow ("Beep"), Red ("Red Light").
What I did:
1. I drew/colored 3 separate pictures featuring the green, yellow and red lights as they'd glow using GIMP.
2. I then sent the photos to my IPAD where I used Procreate to combine them and save them as a GIF.
3. Then I sent them back to my computer to edit in Vegas Pro, where I combined the gif with audio and rendered it as an MP4 file with a white background behind it to create contrast so I could outline the GIF and create a mask.
4. In GIMP, the area around the GIF was made black (which tells OBS to hide it) and the space where the GIF was I left white (tells OBS to show it).
5. Next, I imported the MP4 as a media source into OBS (under Sources) and added the mask filter to eliminate the GIF's background.
6. To make sure I could hear the audio as an OUTPUT I selected "Advanced Audio Properties" under Audio Mixer and under Audio Monitoring, I selected "Monitor and Output".
7. Finally, so the animation would repeat, I just went to the source and selected properties, where I checked off the Loop option.
8. When it's time to use it, I just click on the eye symbol and it toggles the media source.

Additional Notes:
The purpose of the animation is to use as a personal challenge or as a future point redemption option if I ever qualified for such on Twitch. It would be a fun way to boost interaction, but also to make me lose whatever game I'm playing.

Phasmophobia is a ghost hunting game where you're tasked to investigate different haunted locations and identify the the dwelling entity(s).
Be careful though! The ghosts don't take kindly to visitors...
