Philip Defranco Demonetized (FOR A WHOLE WEEK?!)
6In today's episode of AndrewMycolNews, we cover Philip defranco being demonetized this whole week.
The case of the random demonetizer has hit Defranco hard this week. Philip has even had to make a new
morning series just to make sure that he can find a way to keep youtube's algorithm from demonitizing
his videos. The reason is assumed to be that the algorithm for some reason recognizes his content as
not advertiser-friendly. This causes the algorithm to flag and demonetize the videos that have been
covering controversial topics, including the case of Mollie Tibbits, who was slain by an illegal immigrant.
MY TAKE:
I think even if the issue is controversial, Philip Defranco does not deserve to be demonetized. Susan
even said that people who are big youtubers would be getting an increase in their monthly payout, and
we all know how that's working. Google, the company that owns Youtube, is having to make a decision
between Advertisers and the Creators, and they are choosing the Advertisers over the creators.
I for one think that is a bad choice, because why would you choose money over community?
