PHILLIPS CDI EMULATION and LAUNCHBOX INTEGRATION... with RETROARCH and SAME CDI
In many ways, Emulation has become a way of preserving the games of yesterday. Especially on systems where the developers have long aince gone or there is no backwards compatibility options on modern consoles. Even then in cases such as original Playstation games on modern systems, emulation is used.
There is a thriving community of retro gamers who use emulation on the web, although the legal implications are questionable in some instances. However in the case of the Phillips CDI I personally believe that emulation is the only way you are going to experience the system without large amounts of money because the the system's rarity.
CDI Emulation has been one of those which has been spotty at best over the years however in 2022 the release of a retroarch core changed everything.
After the sucess of my Atari Jaguar video, it was suggested by one of you guys that I do a video on the Phillips CDI - So I took on the challange and here is the result.
