Athletic Wave 6500~

I am so relieved to finally have this done. This is the first project of mine I've managed to keep a secret from 99% of the community since the level itself has never been shown on youtube and it didn't seem like it would ever be verified. I started it a while ago hoping to spearhead the 50 Jcack Challenges video with it since at the time I thought it was maybe listworthy. I thought wrong. What ended up happening was one of the most torturess and hopeless experiences I have ever had. This combined with the broken mouse I was using made every session feel like nothing and with every attempt I thought there was even less of a chance I would beat it. It finally brought me to an end where I dropped it and quit playing challenges for nearly two months.

Now we zoom back to this last week where I've been playing the game more casually and enjoying myself more with easy extremes and fun challenges. I completed the list I had of easy extremes and didn't know what to do with myself. For no real reason I decided to start playing this again with no real intention of grinding it out. I ended up playing it for a couple hours that day, finally breaking the month long mindblock I had been having with level. Finally during the night session I got a new best of 68%, dying at the last miniwave of the level. Funnily enough my recording didn't work which actually made me incredibly happy and motivated since it didn't happen during my completion. I was estatic letting a couple of my good friends know, then finally maybe 10-20 minutes later I finally verified it.

I will say here that I have fully accepted I could be overrating this, I played it inefficiently, with a broken mouse, and without many people to actually support me during it. 27 thousand attempts of the full count were used up during this time, so I could totally understand if it's just me who finds it so difficult. It's the most stamina intensive level I've played with all of it being focused around the upwards spam through the corridor spam (the level doesn't say "athletic wave" for nothing).

I'll come back to challenges again, but just at a slower and more enjoyable place.
