Selective logging, forest fire prevention, fuel management, making a living at what we're good at and making space for the next generation of trees to succeed. This forest has been logged repeatedly since the owner bought the property and it's still there. The only way we could be less impactfull to the forest is if we punished horses and made them do the skidders work.
