In this part, day two of investigation begins with Phoenix and Ema trying to figure out how Bruce Goodman could have been killed in two places. Ema leads the investigation in the Prosecutor's Office with Luminol Testing Fluid! She uses it to show that there was blood spilled at the Prosecutor's Office, but nowhere near enough blood to account for the blood on the bottom of the victim's shoe.

After that, Phoenix and Ema talk to Angel Starr, and he presents evidence to her in order to be able to ask her about SL-9. Apparently, that's a case Goodman solved two years ago...and the murder weapon in that case was used to kill him.
