It Was Created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1995 and its stand for Hypertext Preprocessor, its a Recursive Acronym.

Now for .Net and Dot Net is a Framewrok of ASP. .Net Was Created Back in 2012 and its a the Framework ASP. ASP Stand for Active Server Pages and Was Created in 2000. Today ASP is Dead Now it Was Superseded By ASP.NET in 2002.

The ASP.NET is Written in NET languages and its Mean CLI Programming Languages Which Used the Common Language Infrastructure. ASP.NET Only Had Less than 10% Market Shares and Most Government Websites Building Use .Net Framework.

But if You Want to Work Government than for ASP.NET and Learning Curve of PHP is Very Easu Compare to ASP.Net.
