Fans the player can jump in or glide in and be pushed through the air.

The fan blade is built using a physics constraint and physically spins around a hinge on the metal plate. The plate can be thrown through the air and the wind tunnel will go along with it.

Having issues with multiplayer. Physics on the fan and plate is fine, but the character movement seems to be different inside the wind tunnel in standalone versus when playing on the server with another client, or as a client. Fans don't seem to push as hard and I don't know why.
