Pico's School is an early Flash game developed and published by Tom Fulp in Newgrounds. Depicting as a social commentary on school shootings, most notably the infamous Columbine School Massacre, Pico's School centers on the titular character being forced to survive on his own when his school is run amuck by a violent gang led by his classmate Cassandra. The game was well-received, but was bombarded by controversies centering on its topic and the way its depicted. The game recently regain its popularity thanks to Newgrounds' recent sensation, Friday Night Funkin', in which Pico partook in a rap battle with the game's protagonist, who turned out to be his ex-boyfriend.
