Short version: I wrote this piece without listening to it because of an ear infection. It took about an hour and a half, and it's really basic, but I'm bored.

Recently I decided to spice my life up by getting severely ill. Well, I say I decided to, but really my older sister decided that for me. Regardless, I have (among other things) an ear infection which has done some interesting things to my hearing. I feel a constant pressure, occasional sharp pain, have heard a constant ringing for 3 days, and my right ear hears pitches about 40c lower than my left ear. This has resulted in listening to any sort of focused sound, be it music or my little sister randomly wailing while she gets herself a cup of coffee, to be absolutely awful. Naturally I'm too sick to do anything productive, but I also can't listen to or write music because hearing every pitch as a 40c doubling of itself is the definition of pain. Of course, this only means I can't write music if I'm also listening to it. So, I decided to just turn my volume off and write this piece, going completely off really, really basic music theory. As a result, this is probably my most pleasant piece to listen to ever, regardless of whatever mistakes I've made that are obvious once listening to the piece.

I started writing this piece at 3:14 AM on April 12th 2024, and ended at 4:43 AM. This illness has turned my sleep schedule into a roulette wheel.
