Pikmin 3 - any% Segmented Speedrun 51:49

This is a segmented any% speedrun of Pikmin 3 (v2.0.0) beaten in 7days, as fast as possible.
On this run, I don't care about collecting fruits, collecting upgrades, and pikmins dying. I only try to beat the game (ie: defeating the final boss) as fast as possible.

The v2.0.0 patches a few glitches that are useful for an any% run.
I did this run to show that speedrunning this game on this version was still possible. After doing the whole run, I did a comparison between v2.0.0 and previous versions (since v2.0.0 has also some advantages), and it appears that they are pretty much equal in term of time for an any% run! I didn’t think that when I started preparing this run. That means that the version of the game you own isn’t even a problem for speedruns! For a great part of the run, I used MilesSMB's route; but I also used some interesting new strats found by a Japanese player, 吉川雄治. He used those strats in his "20 pikmin speedrun", here is his youtube channel if you're interested. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC87gsu8lRLfJBNwMKdMui2g
00:28 Day 1 (Tutorial)
06:42 Day 2: Still a good day despite some minor mistakes in the area of rock pikmins. The end of the day was very close since I forgot a rock Pikmin just before.
16:34 Day 3: Maybe the most improvable day of the run (but also the hardest). The route I use is different than the one Miles is using, I found some improvements here and there. I also use吉川雄治‘s new strat (which is faster) to get on the ledge, and destroying the gate with only one captain. I didn’t practiced this strat enough, that’s why I failed once, and lost a few seconds. This trick isn’t that hard when you know the right place to do it, but the whipetongue bulborb can be really annoying sometimes! Otherwise, the boss fight was good.
24:42 Day 4: I didn’t find a sufficiently fast route that would allow me to save the pikmins that are harvesting berries, that’s why I let them die at the nightfall. I thought that the swarming sheargrubs would screw everything up at the end of the day, but fortunately it didn’t! Their movements are random, and they can be really annoying sometimes. I’m satisfied with this day.
31:24 Day 5: This day is quite long because of the “locked” health of the boss. The extra spray puddle was lucky, but it doesn’t really saves time (maybe 1 second). I use 吉川雄治‘s strat here to unlock the paper bag, it’s a bit faster but also easier. Nothing much to say about this day.
40:50 Day 6: The shortest and easiest day! This glitch is by far the funniest in the game: if the game designers would have done a higher invisible wall, this trick wouldn’t have been possible! :p I produce two more blue pikmins to make the boss fight easier in case of water prisms (by the way, it wasn’t useful this time since they didn’t appear).
46:24 Day 7: The last one! I use once again 吉川雄治‘s new start in the last room of the dungeon. This strat is not faster and a bit harder, but it allows me to flower the other pikmins before the boss fight, or getting an extra spray. There isn’t always a spray puddle here but it often happen. The boss fight was really good, but could have been even better if knew how to aim properly! :p
