This is part 02 of 03 of a recent project I finished. I had a pirate ship model in my room, so I thought I would give it a go at trying to model it within 3DS Max as accurate as possible. Whilst I ended up tweaking some parts of the final asset to help with the efficiency of modelling.

In this video I experiment with using a new method is smoothing off the asset without loosing too much of the original shape. I break the ship into different sections and then apply a turbosmooth modifier, once I have finished with the overall process I then weld the individual objects back together.

For the Final Renders of the project visit my website - declanhillman.com . If you want exclusive early access to renders and videos check out my Instagram link below, whilst they might not be shown on my website or my channel.
