Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End is an epic climax to the the story that has been building for the past two movies. The creators didn’t hold anything back, as this film would end up being one of the most expensive movies ever made. What was it like behind the scenes on such a large blockbuster film? With Johnny Depp, Orlandop Bloom, Keira Knightley and the rest of our favorite characters returning, it was bound to be a good time. Learn what went into creating the epic climax. See how they shot the sequence with multiple Jack Sparrows. We think you’ll be surprised to learn just how much of this movie was shot practically. And when VFX were used, they were top of the line visuals that still hold up today. But not everything is as glamorous as it seems. There was one sequence in particular that lasted weeks, and all the actors had gripes against. And there were some fun bloopers on set as well.

The beautiful locations and setpieces used brought the film to life. Some of the ships you see on screen are actual full sized ships in real life that they built for the films. And sometimes the ships are miniatures, and sometimes they are completely CGI. Not being able to tell which is which is a testament to how good the VFX in this film are. We’ll show you which ships are real, and which ones are computer generated.
