This is specifically for the Sega Genesis and Arcade versions. For the Arcade version, I only tested Rev 3 and Rev 9. The super cancel infinites work in Rev 3, but not in Rev 9.

Performing Ty / Kato's Infinite Combo
If you press Back Forward, or the same direction twice, you can cancel the animation of certain attacks. This includes super moves that are done by pressing all 3 buttons at once (Punch + Kick + Jump)

By canceling the animation of your super move, you can immediately perform it again before the opponent is able to move. Doing this back to back will lead into an infinite combo. Kato's is more easier to do since his super move lands multiple hits (whereas with Ty, you have to cancel the first hit). Once you master Kato's infinite loop, you too can 8 Trigrams 64 Palms your way through the arcade mode.

The Ty glitch is done by landing a back attack (Punch while the opponent is behind you). This has a chance to launch the opponent. When this happens, immediately hit them with his super move. If done correctly, the opponent will be in a frozen state for a brief moment. They will stay this way if you wail on them with attacks. The back attack in particular is very effective.

I won't bother responding to any questions regarding the SNES version as that has been blocked from my memory.
