The return of one of the most acclaimed games of yesteryear

Pitfall! is the Android remake of the game of the same name first released in 1982. The latter, developed by Activision, became the second highest-selling game in the history of Atari 2600.

This new version of Pitfall! has graphics and gameplay that are completely different from the original. The graphics have received a hefty facelift to make them appropriate to the modern day, including 3D settings and polygonal models. The gameplay has also changed considerably.

Pitfall! is a 3D endless runner very similar to Temple Run: they even share the same setting (a jungle rife with danger and an Indiana Jones-style explorer). Players can slide along the ground and jump over different obstacles scattered around their path, and must tilt the device from one side to another to collect treasure. Just like in Temple Run.

Pitfall! is a good endless runner that not only has great graphics, but also has quite a few pleasant surprises. Its only negative point is that it relies too much on its name, and offers a gameplay that's too generic.
