The word I was looking for is exponential! other words I had to substitute: Bigness (I meant magnitude) Monies (I meant currency)
disclaimer: I actually went back to play this the next day and all the important UI elements disappeared. There is a import/export save file function. Exporting *before* the UI nopes out may fix it, but at this point I can't know for sure.
