Gameplay showcasing our ideas for randomized levels and the new upgrade system. Upgrades gained during levels would only last for the level, but you can enter a shop after a level and buy permanent upgrades that'll last for the rest of the run, or until you sell them for other upgrades (like Jokers in Balatro).

A lot of this overhaul is still in the idea generation phase and is a heavy WIP, but I want to start logging our development on YouTube going forward, so be on the lookout for more videos!
