Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987) – Revisiting The Ultimate Holiday Comedy Classic
As far as John Hughes’ filmography goes, his best all-around film isn’t necessarily one of his teen classics like Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off or The Breakfast Club. While those movies give this a run for its money, for many, the best movie he ever made was Planes, Trains & Automobiles. A comedy with heavy doses of heart, this road trip movie was a defining film for its stars, Steve Martin & John Candy. In this episode of Movies Revisited, we pay tribute to a classic comedy from the 80s.
