Hyperia is a brand new Hyper Coaster opening at @THORPEPARKResort in Spring 2024, being built by German manufacturer @MACKRidesVideo. Hyperia was first announced at a public consultation on 10th November 2021, under the codename "Project Exodus". The few details that were revealed at first was that it was going to be the UK's tallest roller coaster, standing at 236ft tall. However, due to environmental issues with Runnymede Council, planning permission for Hyperia was not granted until September 2022. Ground work would occur over the next 12 months, before vertical construction commenced in October 2023. Just as vertical construction began, the park officially revealed new details for Project Exodus at the Fright Nights 2023 VIP preview night, where they confirmed the ride's name - Hyperia!
