Planet Crafter - Terraforming an alien planet by building and crafting
7The Planet Crafter is a new early access game that reminds me of subnautica, only on surface. Even tho game is suppose to have entire planet, the playable area is actually very, very small, but game concept is amazing.
You start on scorched inhabitable planet with no life nor oxygen, you have to build machines and habitatos to slowly terraform its atmosphere.
First you get blue skies, then some water, rain, lakes and then some green stuff starts growing ..all that in real time! There are no loading screens or anything like it, you can actually see things progress.
From there you get grass, trees, insects .. and this is as far as I have gotten!
This game needs to be on a MUCH larger scale, devs have to actually include entire planet, just make it randomly generated. Lot of games are doing it nowdays, why not in Planet Crafter? random gen maps are the best, they don't require much disk space and are generated on the go.
Imagine building stuff all over the planet.
and then they need vehicles, land and air and even space!
I always have much better ideas than game devs .. but well yeah .. one can dream.
