Planetside 2 BETA guide: "What am I supposed to do?"
8A super-beginner's guide to knowing where to go and what to do when you first start up the Planet Side 2 beta. When I first started playing PS2 my biggest question wasn't "what class should I use?" or "what's the best faction to chose?" Instead it was "where am I supposed to go?" I couldn't find any guides online telling me what I should be doing exactly in this game, so I thought I'd use my three days of PS2 experience to tell you three easy ways I use to get into the action.
And my voice sounds nasally because I can't breathe through my nose at the moment.
Lack of a tutorial aside, I'm enjoying myself a lot in PlanetSide 2 so far. It's hard to get too into it knowing all my stats will be reset in 20 days, but the structure of an MMOFPS is really neat. I've found that getting a group together, planning out a capture, and traveling to the objective is just as fun for me as the actual firefight, and it gives your mind a bit of a break between the crazy gun battles. I'm sure SoE could easily fuck this game up, but as it stands I'll probably get the Alpha Squad package before the game releases officially November 20th.
