"DBG has recently acquired Planetside2, along with 5 other titles, for a sum of $5.9 million USD. The buyer is a Shell Company called "Bay Tree Tower Limited" which has nothing to do with games.

Things like these are quite usual and it happened before with games like Battlefield Heroes and Heroes and Generals, as well as movies and TV series on streaming platforms. After being bought, these games were canceled, allowing the company to benefit from a tax write-off.

So it looks like this will happen to Planetside2 soon and I expect this game to die within the next months.

So stop spending money on a dead game..
