Planetside 2: Game Breaking Problems... HOTFIX
241Stylosa goes into heavy detail on the current situation PlanetSide 2 finds itself in. The game needs to make major changes in order to continue capturing the attention of players. The major points covered in the video are listed below. Please take part in the discussion, PlanetSide 2 is a great game, and it would be a bloody shame to see it crumble away.
Problems:
1) No tutorial at launch.
2) Locking continents is worthless.
3) When a continent is losing, players simply move to the easiest one.
4) Kills = xp and certs. This causing people to simply join large zergs or farm bio labs/tech plants for kills. Forcing people away from outfit play.
5) Inf example. Can't lone wolf (recon, laser designate).
6) Small squad gameplay is pointless (see capturing bases for no reward). this pushes people away who want to play in small highly organised groups.
7) ESF's, shoot down 10 people..only get full xp for 3 or 4 (as most crash into the ground, resulting in no kill xp).
8) Remove friendly air collision at refuel/reload stations - too many deaths.
9) I have more deaths to friendly planes than enemy air/AA.
***BIGGEST PROBLEM BY FAR***
Without any incentive to capture points (kills give the most xp and certs) people just head to the grinders. there needs to be a point in capturing land, it's just not worth it currently.
