PlanetSide 2 - New 'Freyr' Amp Station Sneak Peek and First Impression Commentary
66A quick and dirty preview and first impression commentary of the upcoming major changes to Freyr Amp Station that is currently on test with phase 2 of the optimization patch and will be pushed to live on December 17, 2013. Please keep in mind that it is only the test server, it is there for feedback, and it doesn't mean that this will necessarily stay this way or apply to all other amp stations in the future. They are testing it with Freyr and relying on your opinions to decide how to move forward. Like or dislike something? Let your voice be heard, respectfully of course!
Brief overview:
The Amp Station (initially only at Freyr on Esamir) is being turned from a 1-cap point open base to a 3-cap point infantry funzone. Yep, infantry FUN zone. Each cap point is equipped with its own spawn room that is independent of ownership of the main base or other capture points, and the inner walls of the amp station are literally filled with new buildings, walls, bridges, points of cover and various objects to promote some really interesting gameplay that is far different from the current model. I personally love it so far and can't wait to check it out on live servers. What do you guys think?
