Plantera Review - Steam Gameplay
Greetings fellow Gamers!
This is Gamer Guy (In a Suit) back with a review for a one of the newer Clicker-type games, Plantera.
Plantera is another in the recent line of click-fests that is pretty much designed to make you need a new mouse every 6 months or so. All kidding aside, these games certainly have found their place in the market. While I am not a big fan of this type of game, many people are. It is good, casual fun and a way to whittle away the hours. In this particular clicker, you expand and farm your little garden. All the typical clickey mechanics are present and done fairly well, including upgrades to your garden and the types of plants/animals/defenses you have.
Positives:
+ Cute graphics
+ Great for filling little bits of time here casually
+ So easy, kids can play
-Consistently adding new content
Negatives:
- Standard Clicker game, nothing new
- WYSIWYG. There are no quirks or surprises that hook you in
It's above average for a clicker in my book, but I am not a big clicker-game fan. To those who enjoy this particular genre however, I can see it being worth it's price. It is certainly adorable, so it has that going for it.
Verdict:
7/10 (If you like Clicker games)
3/10 overall
Happy Gaming!
