Play It Forward -- Community Box Tutorial Video
24Welcome to the Play It Forward Community Box! This instructional video tutorial should help break down the concept and structure of the Play It Forward box to help it continue to make its way through the community.
Simply put, the Play It Forward box is a giftbox with no limits of fandoms represented, from toys to video games, movies, music, tabletop, merch, prints, books, comics--anything collectible that you think the next recipient may enjoy is fair game!
The idea is for each recipient to do an unboxing video--do NOT show everything in the box as that's part of the surprise element in receiving this. Simply show off what you kept. Anything in the box is up for grabs--keep all you want, but be sure to replace it with at least the same amount, if not more, of what you took--and don't show what you put in there either--again, keep that surprise factor going!
Next, contact who you would like to send this to and make sure they want to be a part of the Play It Forward box. If interested, they should know a video is expected of them so that the community can follow the trek this box makes, both in seeing how far it can go and for how long, as well as opening up the chance to check out new channels and content creators. If they don't want to do a video, that's fine! Not everybody will want to be part of this--and that's why you should check with somebody before sending it as a surprise. The contents should be surprise enough. Simply see if there is somebody else who would like to be part of the Play It Forward box so that it can be traced through the community. This is about bringing us all together!
And that's it--let's keep this going as long as we can!
One last thing--inside this box is a GameBoy themed notebook. It's a sort of guestbook for a quick message from each recipient. When that notebook is filled up, PLEASE contact us as that is the ONLY thing we ask for in return!
