EDIT 2: This video has once again gotten a lot of attention due to the release of ElDorito 0.6. Know that this video was created almost 3 years ago and is not representative of the current state of the game gameplay wise. While a lot has changed, my core arguments on the ethics of playing the game have not, and I feel that my arguments on the ethics of playing Halo Online are what make this video interesting (starting at 7:30) rather than a simple list of features which you can find on any twitch stream or just by reading the most recent patch notes. As such I do not intend on re-reviewing Halo Online at this time, because at the end of the day I would simply be making the same video again but with a few minor changes to account for the new 0.6 features that were added. That and I've effectively retired this channel since my move to the professional level of videography.

EDIT: Since creating this video several developments have made certain information in this video out of date. 1: Legal availability outside of Russia WAS possible from ~September to December assuming you had a Beta key as the region lock was removed. However since December 25th 2015 all official servers have been completely shut down (English translation of official announcement: https://www.reddit.com/r/HaloOnline/comments/3xyono/halo_online_servers_closing_december_25th/) making it once again impossible for anyone (Russian or otherwise) to play the game without using the El Dorito mod. 2: New maps have been added. 3: More customization options have become available (specifically the ability for a server admin to turn sprint on/off).

As patches and new content are added there is the possibility that this review may display incorrect information, this review is designed to inform viewers of the status of the game as it was when I reviewed the game. Unless the verdict given becomes directly contradictory to the game no further updates to this review will be released. Always research your games thoroughly before purchase.
