322Halo 4 is out on PC now as part of the Master Chief Collection so of course I needed to jump into a Will it VR video and find out if Halo 4 in VR was possible. The results are really good! The impressive visuals make Halo 4 VR a treat for the eyes & when you team that with some silky smooth headtracking you're really in a for a treat with this Halo VR / Halo MCC Vorpx experience! Although there is no official Halo 4 virtual reality / Halo VR experience available and certainly no official Halo VR Oculus Quest / Oculus Quest 2 Halo experience you can still jump into the Master Chief Collection & all of it's expansive content in virtual reality thanks to an impressive Vorpx profile. The Halo MCC Vorpx profile works to varying degrees of success, each game within the collection is built on a slightly different engine so the results you get will vary from full geometry 3D to Z normal 3D but each game is completely and utterly playable inside your VR headset. Halo 4 VR is best experienced with Z normal 3D and a keyboard & mouse, this was the smoothest experience & easily the most immersive during my testing period.
It might not be the most popular Halo game but playing Halo 4 in VR is a huge amount of fun & one of the most visually striking games in the franchise makes for a perfect Halo VR experience. The Halo Vorpx profile / Halo 4 Vorpx profile is preloaded into Vorpx as a default local profile and will hook to the game with very little effort.
