Playing RANDOM SQUAD in FORTNIGHT (Reload)
Fortnite Reload will be launching on Saturday, in what is essentially a reboot of Fortnite OG. And the good news doesn't stop there, because you won't have to wait long to play it. Here's when you can play Fortnite Reload.
Not content with confirming a surprise Fortnite update, which drops on a Saturday of all days, Epic Games has also casually just confirmed that a new game mode called Fortnite Reload will be launching on the same day in what is, for all intents and purposes, the spiritual return of Fortnite OG. We can't be too surprised I suppose, as Epic did say Fortnite OG would return in 2024 last year, but shadow-dropping it less than 24 hours before its arrival has certainly got the community hyped.
Fortnite Reload will be a separate game mode within Fortnite and will work similarly to how Resurgence works in Call of Duty's battle royale title Warzone, in that as long as one of your squad is alive, your squad can respawn without having to be rebooted at a reboot van (via iFireMonkey on Twitter). It's a mini battle royale experience, with the map featuring several iconic POIs from Fortnite Chapter 1 including Tilted Towers, Pleasant Park, Lil' Loot Lake, Lazy Labs, Sandy Sheets and Retail Row.Fortnite Reload brings classic vibes and respawning squads to the popular battle royale game.
