Playing Underworld โ๏ธ๐ก๏ธ๐
I'm playing an online action fantasy adventure game called Underworld. In Underworld, you play a warrior and you go through a dungeon as you use your sword against assassins and go up against the assassin's evil Viking-like Boss. Underworld is not great and I am mixed on it. On the start menu, it does not have the games' title and the game has no storyline. It is a shame that the character you play in the game doesn't have a backstory and why he is in the dungeon and what the quest is. You travel the dungeon, fighting and killing the assassins and dodging deathtraps and fight and kill the Boss. You don't collect any treasure and nor any items. You can't collect any potions or eat food to restore your health. Once you get killed, the game gets restarted and you go back to the beginning. When you fight the assassins and the Boss, you have to block their attacks and to prevent your life from being lost. The gameplay is very good and it takes a bit of practice. Once you get the hang of it, it feels easier. To lock on to the assassins and the Boss when you fight them, you have to press the TAB button on your keyboard. To change your weapon, you have to press the right arrow on your keyboard. Click the left button on your mouse to attack and click the right button on your mouse to block the attacks. To dodge and get pass the deathtraps, you can roll by pressing the q button on your keyboard. During the game, green circles will appear guiding you through the dungeon and captions will appear giving you tips and will tell you what to do. The game has no music and the only sound effects in the game are when you walk and when you fight and kill the assassins and the boss. The game has good polygon graphics and the game looks as if it could be set in the Minecraft universe. The polygon graphics gives the characters and the environment a cartoonish feel. The hero in the game looks across between Mario from Super Mario Bros. and Jason Statham. Funny I mention Jason Statham because Jason Statham had starred in a terrible 2008 fantasy film called In The Name of The King: A Dungeon Siege Tale. The film was based on the 2002 RP fantasy game Dungeon Siege. It would have been good if you could have chosen what he is going to look like. Now, here is the most frustrating thing about the game - Once you have slain the Boss and you go to the next green circle. The game doesn't end and you don't get congratulated on finishing the game, you end up back at the start of the game and do it all over again. It's slack and pathetic and a let down. A waste of time and effort. It took me about 9 minutes to finish the game. Underworld is not a great online game. It has it's flaws and it could have been better. Don't let me discourage you from playing Underworld. If you love Dungeons and Dragons. HeroQuest. Champions: Return to Arms. Deathtrap Dungeon. Dungeon Siege and RuneScape. You may like Underworld.
