So...the game is now giving you options on which mech to play. Most of the mechs are similar in terms of weapon systems, but not the same in speed. Auto missiles are still incredibly OP and all the auto lock weapons too. You'll find that the bosses are easy to manage, but it takes a LONG TIME to beat them...
