Ok , like a lot of you I have been continuously cleaning out dust from my playstation 4 over the last few years. Well recently I got the "shut down to cool down" warning. So i popped it open and started cleaning. Thats when I decided to do something about the issues. So more air flow and less dust is on the cards.
I grabbed a spare pc fan, pc fan filter, 12v power pack, some basic tools and I grabbed the camera because "why not film this madness about to unfold".
I just made it up on the go with a goal of making it cooler.
Well when all was done and gaming for a large amount of time had been done I can say a great improvement was made. A very noticeable difference in the internal fan speed and noise. During basic functions the internal fan "once running" will barely go above idol speed. During game play a mid fan speed was reached but nothing crazy or LOUD . A vast improvement on the system hands down.
The stand for now is a quick wood one but a 3D printed stand will come in the future.
