Square Enix is selling off Western studios Eidos, Crystal Dynamics, and Square Enix Montreal, as well as the franchises those studios develop, including Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, and Thief, to Embracer Group, the companies announced Monday. The $300 million deal will give Embracer Group ownership of more than 50 back-catalog games from Square Enix’s library and will affect 1,100 employees across three studios.”

“Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 reportedly out 2023 for PS5, Series X/S and PC. Respawn Entertainment's previously confirmed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel is reportedly now targeting a 2023 release date, and will be skipping previous-gen consoles in favour of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. That's according to VentureBeat reporter Jeff Grubb in his latest Grubbsnax livestream (as transcribed by VGC), who claimed publisher EA and Respawn had initially been aiming to launch the Fallen Order sequel this year, but that those plans have now changed and the game "is for sure now not coming out until 2023”.

The new PS Plus, now broken into three tiers—Essential, Extra, and Plus—essentially combines PlayStation Now and the soon-to-be-former PlayStation Plus. As a reminder, PS Now is a streaming service that gives users access to hundreds of games made for current and former console generations, while the current PS Plus gives users access to online multiplayer games, discounts, and a few free games each month. Both of those services will be retired on June 13 and combined into the new PS Plus.”
