Part 1:
Introduction and start of Chapter 1.

This is a Playthrough of Avalon Code (NDS, 2008), a game developed by Matrix and produced by Yoshifumi Hashimoto, known for making the Rune Factory series. The game makes use of both types of controls available on the Nintendo DS (buttons and touch screen) at the same time.

Avalon Code is generally classified as an Action RPG: you take the role of a character in a fantasy world and perform his or her actions directly, and most of the game is comprised of action-oriented play in the form of combat; your character also gains new combat abilities and becomes more proficient as you play. The objective of the game is not clear from the start (though you're given the general idea after the introduction): you play as the story unfolds and get to the end without being defeated in combat. Your actions may influence the story a little, but the end is practically always the same.

This Playthrough was played on the DeSmuME emulator and recorded with SimpleScreenRecorder. I apologize in advance for the emulation inaccuracies in frame rate and sound, as my hardware isn't powerful enough to play and record the game more accurately.
