So with the release of Spark The Electric Jester 3, I thought I'd go back to the game preceding it, Spark The Electric Jester 2 (while in development being known as Fark The Electric Jester, changed for obvious reasons)

While I still hold the belief that Spark 3 is an overall improvement over Spark 2 in many ways, I still think Spark 2 is worth your time just as much and even has some things over Spark 3 such as:
- powerups (which in my opinion kinda break the game, especially Edgy Jester but I'm putting it as a pro)
- more enemy variety and just overall more aggressive enemies (both the weak enemies in level and the strong ones). This is something Spark 3 lacked despite the improved combat that I noticed here in Spark 2. And all that effort put into the enemies only to blitz past them, just makes me wish these missing enemies would somehow be plopped into Spark 3, they would actually improve the combat sections a lot IMO
- more varied level theming
- more condensed level design, perfect for speedrunning
- overall more challenging (especially if you refrain from powerups), but this feels like a double edged sword since some people might find the present challenge rather cheap.

This is pretty much a compilation of 6 levels I chose that I still enjoy replaying in Spark 2 and with no powerups, trying to get the diamond medals and just barely getting them (the time requirements are really demanding). I think this is the way the game was meant to be played and playing Spark 2 like this made me appreciate the level design more.
