I've been doing a clean-up of the final OSTs I wanted to arrange from Your Lie in April, before I finally tackle the ending songs. The original title is "Kawaita Kuuki", which can be translated to "Dry Air". But I've gone with an original title that is based on the iconic rooftop scene in episode 22, where the song is used. Without spoiling anything, I want to say that the scene is both beautiful and heartbreaking. And this track, while not a particularly well known one, is a fragile but earnest representation of the feelings at play in the scene.
Now, to arrange it for solo piano was no easy task, the original has several layers. I've laid it out in a way where it's playable for two hands, but it requires swift movement and even so, the parts will not be perfectly similar to the original. Nevertheless, I'm happy with this representation of the piece, and it challenged my skills as an arranger. And the main section offers the interesting challenge of three parts, whereas one is played above by the left hand, sparingly. I hope you like it!
