The map features a huge fortress of calamity worthy of the semi-final surrounded by lava. After exploring that fortress and obtaining two keys, many enemies appear in the lava area, after which you can head for the exit. There are two possible routes in the speed run: either you can head to the lava field after dealing with the enemies in the fortress in order, or you can rush to the lava field to get the BFG first and then deal with the enemies in the fortress. The latter route seems faster, but has the disadvantage that the backpack in the secret is not available and ammo management is very cumbersome.
