[Pod] Single Race: Pipeline
5Pipeline. When you're a game designer and you're too lazy to put a sky above your track.
Every proper arcade racing game has its own underground track. Pod made no exception with Pipeline, it's nothing but a bunch of pipes twisting and turning all over the place.
The track isn't that hard to drive. You may just avoid driving on the sides, since the pipes aren't perfectly cylindrical. Another trick to save a few seconds: at the two chicanes, drive straight and let the laws of physics do their job. If Newton got it right, your car will go upside down through the chicane without losing much speed.
Pipeline has 3 shortcuts. The first one [0:10] is located right in front of the start-finish line. Drive on the left side of the road and at the right time, jump into the hole on the left hand side. This shortcut also works when coming from the pit road, you just have to jump on the right side instead.
The second [0:40] is probably one of the most secret shortcuts of the game. Go to the left to gain some extra momentum, then make a corkscrew to the right, hit the fake red wall and... come down into the ultra secret passage way. Note that light cars, such as the Arakn, tend to lose grip when driving on vertical surfaces, so you should get a heavy car to take this shortcut properly. Damn you, Newton :)
The third one [0:48] is pretty much straightforward: hit the ramp to jump on these red floating platforms. If you hold it straight you can make it over the wall.
If you practice well and master all these tricks and shortcuts, the IA have literally no chance to beat you. Good luck!
