It's time to dive into the latest video game review series here on my channel, dedicated to point and click adventure game classics. This week, we take a look at the Lucasarts game The Dig.

Launched in 1995, The Dig was a combination of ground-breaking special effects, led by the team over at ILM (famous for their work on Star Wars and other franchices), along with a writing crew that included Steven Spielberg, Orson Scott Card, and Brian Moriarty.

It was also revolutionary for its time given the fact that it launched as a fully voiced game, featuring Hollywood actors like Rorbert Patrick and Steve Blum, on top of a fully digital orchestra. The combination of talent resulted in a point and click adventure game that was like no other during the mid-90s, and is (in my mind) one of the best examples of a classic PNC game from that era.
