The original hint book that came with the first four King's Quest games had sections in it called "Points of Interest." At the end of each chapter, there was a section called "Points Not of Interest." This was one of my favorite parts of the book. :)

This not only includes the various ways to die, but also things that will lose you points, cause you to lose the game, or things that aren't exactly in your interest because doing them prevents you from getting the full points in the game. (And sometimes some Easter Eggs or just funny things as well).

Here are the points not of interest included in part 11:
Offer the "old man" everything you own
Become a beast in front of the "old man"
Gather all the ingredients for the Rain Spell, but don't cast the spell, then visit the druids on the Isle of the Mists
Offer the "old man" in the pawnshop some peppermint leaves, otherwise known as mint
