1v1s are a little something I did way back in the first Battle 4 Charity, and I wanted to make it a regular thing but I just never did. Partly because its a lot of work to find a guy, register FC, and play him for a "quick" 1v1 fight, the match itself takes longer than the setup... so it only worked well if you're in a group like on a B4C stream or a Xat tournament or something.

So it just kinda hit me last night while eating Ramen noodles that I was in http://xat.com/TPX and realized I could do some of them there.

My take:
I know I said this all already in the video, but I'll just reiterate it here. Its much less fun to "Smogonize" the theme by making guys specifically FOR 1v1 fights, putting on lots of Scarf/Lum/Sash guys when they normally wouldn't be that way.

^ That doesn't mean those items are banned by any means, they're useful.... its the making of a pokemon outside any normal competitive use to be used in this different manor that I want no part in.

So you find a guy in your box and use him AS IS for your 1v1. No item change, no move change, just roll with it. Who knows what the other guy will bring and you have no idea if you'll have an advantage or not.
