Pokemon Unite is speculated to be a big thing in the future of esports, but what about the main series of Pokemon? The competitive scene in Pokemon is big, we have annual tournaments hosted by the Pokemon company every year and there seems to be no signs of stopping. But while the franchise is huge, it's not really praised as an esport game. Why is that? Well, I'd argue that Pokemon is not really a good esports game.
